Did we really think that the paperless office would be here by now? Documents always have been the law firm’s product and will continue to be for a long time. They represent the output of a law firm’s product, the written advice and legal agreements. They also represent a law firm’s brand, how it looks, how it demonstrates quality and assurance. We should care a lot about our documents because they are the life blood of the law firm.
So what are we doing about those problems that documents cause? Are we even aware of the potential pitfalls and risks of not looking after our documents and whose responsibility is it when documents go wrong? Is it a lawyer who types their own or is it a secretary? Is the Compliance Officer aware of the risks to the business?
Have you considered how much time can be written off because lawyers are spending too long trying to fix documents?
In this seminar we will show you the common ways that documents are broken –and the time involved in fixing it – the compliance risks that hidden features and metadata pose and that mobile apps can sometimes cause nightmare situations.
This seminar is intended for everyone who has an interest in the quality and integrity of their firm’s documents – lawyers, trainers, secretaries and particularly those people that recruit in the firm.
