Family lawyers give young people a voice
Wednesday 4th July was a special day for the charity when Mischon de Reya hosted an event in Holborn, London to launch the new digital platform which provides support for the children and guidance for parents. I urge you to visit the website and share the resource with your clients.
Commenting on its involvement as Voices in the Middle’s digital sponsor, Mishcon de Reya Family Partner Barbara Reeves said:
“We have long understood the significant impact that divorce and parental separation can have on children, and believe that it is of critical importance that they are prioritised and heard during this inevitably difficult process.
“The Voices in the Middle project is dedicated to offering children a platform to discuss their experiences and a place where they can seek support from peers and experts. It also offers parents essential guidance on how to ensure that they do not lose sight of the needs of their children whilst navigating the emotional minefield of separation.”
How Bluebird supports the charity
Voices in the Middle resonates at a very personal level with me, having been through a divorce myself and being a mother to two children. Had I known about this charity at the time of my divorce, I would have certainly called on their support.
As a company we have pledged to donate 7% of our turnover for any law firm who become members of Voice in the Middle, and go on to become clients of ours. This is on top of my monthly personal contribution to the charity. I see no reason why any law firm operating a family department shouldn’t give their support to this very deserving charity.
How you can help by delivering exceptional client service
There are many ways to become involved that doesn’t necessarily mean putting your hand in your pocket!
The charity needs to share the resources to the service users. They want to extend their support to your clients. There’s a multitude of resources available on the website and a great start is the Guide For Parents of Teenagers.
Great oak trees start from a tiny acorn and every little helps. Please will you take a look at the website and share the resource with your clients.
